Every October, the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement (APCA) joins its companion Council, the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography® (ARDMS®) to celebrate Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM).
How are we celebrating?
This year, we are celebrating MUAM by recognizing the importance of sonography and the lasting impact it makes in our lives. Please share a story about a time a sonography colleague impacted you or a patient significantly or an important ultrasound experience from your career. Include a picture if possible.

Happy MUAM 2023!
MUAM is a joint effort of the Society for Diagnostic and Medical Sonography (SDMS), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS), and Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU).
We will highlight your story in October and November as part of our MUAM campaign. At the end of October, we will complete a random draw to pick the winner. The winner will be announced by email and social media at the beginning of November.
