About Me
Dr. Teresa L. Carman is Director of Vascular Medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
She also directs the Vascular Medicine Fellowship Program and serves as Medical Director for the Anticoagulation Monitoring Service and Center for Wound Care at UHCMC.
Dr. Carman earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University before completing her residency at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and Cleveland Clinic Florida, followed by fellowships in Vascular Medicine and Clinical Thrombosis at Cleveland Clinic. In addition to her clinical work, she remains active in resident and fellow education.
Dr. Carman’s research focuses on clinical thrombosis, wound care, vascular ultrasound, and arterial vascular disease. A Diplomat of the American Board of Vascular Medicine, she chaired its examination writing committee for over a decade. She also serves as a Director for the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and is active on several ABVLM committees.
