Dr. Paul W. Wennberg is a consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was appointed Chair of the Division of Vascular Medicine in 2020 and has served as the Medical Director of the Vascular Laboratory since 2003.

A native of rural Northern Minnesota, Dr. Wennberg developed his interest in vascular physiology through comparative biology coursework and heart failure research during medical school. His clinical practice spans all vascular and general cardiac indications, while his research focuses on vascular testing responses to physiologic provocation of the arterial, venous, and microcirculation systems.

Dr. Wennberg is committed to expanding vascular testing access to rural and underserved areas and has served on the boards of SVM (Society for Vascular Medicine), IUA (International Union of Angiology), and the European VAS group.
